I personally recommned Upright pianos more majority of pianists. They have an amazing sound and won't have any limitations so you can play however hard of peices you want. Entry level upright pianos cost around $5000-$10,000, however you can get the second hand for less.
The sound of a upright piano cannot be compared to a grand however since it is acoustic the sound is amazing and you won't have any problems with it. The feel of an upright is also amazing and feels the same as a grand piano.
If you are looking for a piano this is the one I recommend and I do not think you will be dissapointed. Even though they cost a lot, they last ages the one I personally have is from 1980 and has not had ny problems in 40 years.
